Comida a Casa Chàvez
Our work at the roots of change agency and our larger organization, Knurdology, is about creating lasting liberatory change.
Change doesn’t always come in the most expected places. The United Farm Workers Movement, The Black Panther Party, and centuries of indigenous organizing show the power of food and gathering.
Mi cocina está abierto!
Watch Fascists Outta My Kitchen!
I loved all the foods of the Southwest. TexMex, New Mexican green chile, fajitas, pozole, guacamole, & my family’s favorite recipes.
As the climate crisis has intensified, I’ve turned to more sustainable practices and became vegan in 2022. Now, I want to offer the culture with the sustainability and share sustainable, vegan, & plastic-free alternatives to our old cultural favorites and other global cuisine.
This new offering is a love story to my family, ancestors, & the mother Earth we call home.
Healthy, vegan, & plastic-free cooking & catering. Going vegan and limiting your plastic usage are the top ways individuals can build collective power to overcome the climate crisis. Learn more about the plastic crisis.
My specialties are New Mexican food, but I love cooking recipes from across the world, while staying sustainable. Explore our snacks or reach out about catering at small gatherings.
If you have the means, consider adding a community meal to your purchase to help us feed our most vulnerable community members.
We intentionally make extra food to give to our unhoused neighbors and other community members who've been abandoned by our systems. By purchasing a community meal, you are allowing us to buy extra ingredients and supplies. Donations go towards snacks, materials, & other basics (socks, etc) plus we plan to donate quarterly to local food banks and indigenous organizations as we grow.
