Community is the answer. We hear it often but it can be hard to hold onto amidst the daily grind. That’s why we’re (safely 😷) organizing more in-person gatherings in the Bay Area for all the wonderful characters that make up this magical place.

I finally arrived in San Francisco in 2018 for many reasons, most of them were from stories. Vertigo, The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, The Birds, Star Wars, The Maltese Falcon, Tales of the City, and yes even The Princess Diaries. Stories gave me permission to live authentically in all of my queer, hippie, radical, indigenous/Latino, geeky, spiritual, & creative parts.

Finding the Fun IRL!
AI and Big Tech may be all over our billboards and screens, but technology isn’t the only place to find fun!
At the roots of change agency, we’re all about finding the heart-first fun that’s real and connected to other people. Technology and the pandemic have isolated many and made us feel more divided than we truly are. Our Healthy Bay Area channel on Patreon will be all about how we build back community that builds heart-centered organizing and a Bay Area that values people over corporations.

Heart-first Organizing for Liberation
At the roots of change agency, we believe that the path to liberation is more than just protests and voting. Change doesn’t always come in the most expected places. California Farm Workers, The Black Panther Party, and centuries of indigenous organizing show the power of gathering, food, art, & community.
We offer a variety of goodies and gatherings to best meet this moment of rising fascism.
